How a class runs

We start with a warm-up that prepares ankles, calves and core for the heels — the part everyone skips at home and the part that makes the difference. Then come the basics: walking, turning, shifting your weight, where to look. In the second half we build a choreography step by step, at a pace where everyone keeps up. At the end the music runs through once and you realise you just danced something that looked impossible an hour ago.

You don't need to know how to walk in heels

That's the most common reason people hesitate, and the least necessary one. Walking and turning safely on heels is a technique — it comes from practice, not talent. Anyone who feels wobbly at first dances the opening class barefoot or in trainers and switches later. That's completely normal and nobody looks twice.

What to bring

Comfortable clothes you can move in, and heels with a block heel if you own a pair — they stand far more securely than a thin stiletto. Knee pads are pleasant for floorwork but not required. If you don't have suitable shoes, just come without and talk to us; we'll help you choose before you spend money.

Common questions

Can I come on my own?
Yes, and most people do. You need neither a dance partner nor company — the group is the reason many keep coming back.
I've never danced before. Is that a problem?
No. The class is open to all levels and the choreography is broken into small steps. Experience in other styles helps but is not required.
Is there an age limit?
The class is for adults. There's no upper limit — we have people training together from their early twenties to their late fifties.
Do I have to commit to several weeks?
No. You can book single classes and join whenever you like. If you come regularly, a ten-class card or a membership works out cheaper.
Can I just watch first?
Joining in beats watching, which is why there's a starter pack of three classes for €50. If you're unsure, write to us beforehand — we'll tell you honestly whether the class suits you right now.
